Join our small but growing, dynamic non-profit organization engaged in developing a range of pioneering programs building future leaders in Israel-Asia relations and events that explore the biggest challenges facing Asia in the next decade and how to combine the strengths of different countries to co-innovate solutions.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

  • Leadership Programs Intern (May – August, 2017)

Communications Intern

  • Jerusalem
  • Ongoing
  • Time: 20 hours + a week.

Internship description:


  • Manage and update the Israel-Asia Center website (no programming knowledge required)
  • Create new content for the website and new programming


  • Coordinate a video/photo promotion of Israel-Asia Leaders Fellows in Israel and Asia
  • Film basic videos of fellowship and IAC activities
  • Edit and manage photos and video footage

Social Media:

  • Manage organization’s social media channels


  • Work with Israel-Asia Center staff and associates to create op-eds and generate media coverage on the work of the Israel-Asia Center and new programming.
  • Be a part of branding new programs being developed by the Israel-Asia Center.
  • Write organization’s online newsletters and marketing materials.

Internship requirements:

  • Native-level English (spoken and written)
  • Experience in the tasks above
  • Excellent writing skills
  • – Photography / video skills and knowledge of Photoshop and/or other photo/video editing programs
  • Good eye for design and layout
  • Knowledge of / experience working with Asia desired

Some on the job training will also be provided.

Leadership Programs Intern

  • Jerusalem/Tel Aviv
  • May – August, 2017
  • Time: 20 hours + a week.

Internship description:

  • Market and promote the Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship and other new leadership programs of the Israel-Asia Center.
  • Liaise with Asian embassies in Israel, Israeli embassies and consulates in Asia, Israeli universities and other institutions and networks to promote the programs and maximize incoming applications.
  • Map out target participants and develop marketing strategy for new programs.
  • Assist Israel-Asia Center in developing content for new leadership programs.
  • Promote existing and upcoming programs through media and social media.
  • Maintain relevant sections of the Israel-Asia Center website and social media channels, and create e-newsletters.
  • Conduct video interviews with outgoing Israel-Asia Leaders Fellows.
  • Conduct research on Israel-Asia Center leadership program alumni impact and potential programs for ongoing engagement.
  • Process all incoming applications for the Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship.
  • Assist in the compilation of program materials.

Internship requirements:

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent written English and communication skills.
  • Media-savvy and creative: web management, social media marketing experience a plus.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills (friendly, positive, can-do attitude, respectful and ability to deal competently with people at all levels) with a positive approach.
  • Ability and sensitivity to deal with people from different cultures.
  • Interest in Asia.
  • Knowledge of an East Asian language a plus, but not required.

Some on the job training will also be provided.


Through these positions, interns will also have the opportunity to network with established and future leaders in business, government, diplomacy, innovation and media who are shaping Israel-Asia relations.
