Samuel Chan is a participant in the NUS Enterprise program in Israel run by National University of Singapore.
Samuel developed his interest in agriculture and automation systems while studying his bachelors in mechanical engineering. As part of the program, he is interning at Crystal Vision, an Israeli company that designs and develops automation and control systems for industry, agriculture and research, and offers customized solutions which incorporate vision systems and manpower saving machinery such as in date farms and aquaculture.
Samuel developed his interest in agriculture and automation systems while studying his bachelors in mechanical engineering at NUS. Currently in the course of his studies, Samuel is conducting an urban farming research project. The 3.5-year research project aims to create a low-cost, low-maintenance, sustainable agriculture system that is simple and user-friendly in order to empower people in cities to grow for their own food.
