Israel-Indonesia Futures: Eligibility
Eligibility
The ideal candidate for the Israel-Indonesia Futures program is someone who is passionate about engaging people from different countries and cultures, strengthening Israel-Indonesia relations and in making a sustainable impact in their respective field. We define leaders as ‘people who dare to dream and do’. Our program is designed to unlock your potential and strengthen your ability to influence Israel-Indonesia relations in your field.
Criteria for applying
Candidates should be:
1. Israeli or Indonesian
2. Emerging or established leaders in their respective fields (mid-/senior-level professionals)
3. Excellent English (spoken and written)
4. In a time zone that is compatible with the program (see schedule below)
We are seeking people who are:
- Committed to engaging Israelis/Indonesians in meaningful dialogue.
- Interested in learning more about Israel/Indonesia, their existing relations and potential for partnership-building.
- Passionate about promoting and furthering Israel-Indonesia relations in their field of interest.
- Able to work effectively in a cross-cultural team and be sensitive to cultures that are very different from their own.
- Pro-active, with proven leadership skills.
- Inquisitive, a problem-solver, eager to tackle new challenges.
Time Commitment
While the program has been designed for professionals in full-time employment, applicants to the program should expect this to be an intensive program, if balancing it with full-time work.
Below are the expected time commitments to the program:
- Pre-Program briefings will take place prior to the start of the program for Israeli and Indonesian participants. These will last up to 1.5 hours and will take place on January 2 and 3. Times to be announced.
- Seminars and workshops will be on Sundays (5 January – 23 February and April 6 and 27): Mornings in Israel / Afternoons in Indonesia. Sessions will last approximately 4 hours. During Ramadan, shorter sessions will be held on 9 March and 23 March, lasting no more than 2.5 hours. No sessions will be scheduled on March 2, 16, 30, or April 13 due to the festivals of Ramadan, Purim, Eid-el-Fitr, Nyepi, Pesach and Easter.
- From Week 4 of the program, teams will need to find time to meet with their fellow team members each week to work on their team project.
- All participants and teams must be available for the program’s final event on Sunday, May 4.
