Program Manager – Israel-Indonesia Futures Program

  • Remote/online position (Candidate should be based either in Israel or Indonesia/Southeast Asia time zones)
  • December 2024 – May 2025
  • Part-time

Description:
We are seeking a dynamic Program Manager for our 2025 Israel-Indonesia Futures program who is excited about the prospect of connecting Israeli and Indonesian leaders and changemakers!

  • Manage all aspects of the Israel-Indonesia Futures program – from January to May, 2025 (4 months) – and 2 weeks’ preparatory period prior to the program.
  • Coordinate and host weekly online seminars, workshops and events with Israeli and Indonesian participants, and high-profile guest speakers and facilitators.
  • Liaise with speakers, facilitators, advisors and mentors in Israel and Indonesia to ensure the seamless roll-out of the program and achievement of program goals and deliverables.
  • Maintain constant contact with program participants, providing guidance, mentorship, relevant contacts, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Create program materials and weekly newsletters.

Requirements:

  • Fluent spoken and written English, and a confident, high-energy presenter.
  • Proven experience running leadership or entrepreneurship programs, with an understanding of problem-solving processes or development of impact ventures.
  • Knowledge of / experience working with Indonesia – in the tech / start-up / social impact arenas.
  • Knowledge / experience of Israel’s innovation ecosystem a plus, but not essential.
  • Experience working in an international, cross-cultural environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and inter-cultural skills are imperative.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels and manage often complex inter-cultural situations.
  • Positive, can-do thinker and problem-solver who sees challenges as opportunities.
  • Experience creating, coordinating and connecting networks and communities.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Experience managing Zoom meetings, break-out rooms, and team project flow software a plus.
  • Experience creating written content and e-newsletters with tools such as ConstantContact.


Leadership Programs Intern
 

  • Remote/in-person position
  • 16+ hours per week
  • Ongoing
Description:
  • Conduct research for our 2023 Israel-Indonesia Futures program.
  • Coordinate marketing and recruitment of Israeli and Asian candidates for the Israel-Asia Center’s leadership programs.
  • Assist with the Israel-Indonesia Futures delegations to Israel/Indonesia.
  • Conduct annual alumni impact poll of Israel-Asia Center leadership programs.
Requirements:
  • Fluent English (spoken & written).
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, and manage tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and inter-cultural skills.
  • Social-media savvy.
  • Knowledge of / experience working with/in Asia a plus.

Events Intern

  • Remote/online position
  • Ongoing
  • Time: 8+ hours per week.

Internship description:

Coordinate online events of the Israel-Asia Center over the year, covering a range of issues spanning Israel-Asia relations, trends and developments in Asia – and their implications/opportunities for Israel – for journalists, government officials, diplomats, business leaders, thought leaders, and alumni of the Israel-Asia Center’s leadership programs.

  • Coordinate a series of bi-monthly online events over the course of the year – including press briefings, public webinars, and exclusive briefings/networking events for alumni of the Israel-Asia Center’s leadership programs.
  • Research topics and speakers for potential events.
  • Coordinate all logistics, marketing, promotion and registration for events – in Israel and Asia.

Requirements:

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative, and manage tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Media savvy, and ability to manage events and break-out rooms on Zoom.
  • Active interest in news, trends and developments in Asia across multiple sectors.

Communications & Multimedia Intern

  • Remote/online position
  • Ongoing
  • Time: 8+ hours per week.

Internship description:

  • Write e-newsletters on Israel-Asia Center news and programs.
  • Produce weekly e-newsletters for the Israel-Asia Center leadership programs, providing a wrap-up of the previous session, details of what’s next and other updates for participants.
  • Manage the Israel-Asia Center’s social media channels.
  • Manage,  update and create new content for the Israel-Asia Center website (no programming knowledge required).
  • Create promotional materials on the Israel-Asia Center programs.
  • Conduct marketing and recruitment campaigns on the Israel-Asia Center’s programs.
  • Seek media and promotional opportunities for the Israel-Asia Center and our programs.
  • Create short promotional videos on the Israel-Asia Center’s programs.

Requirements:

  • Fluent English (spoken and written) with excellent media writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Media-savvy, creative and a good eye for design and layout.
  • Active interest in Asian news, trends, developments and culture.
  • Photography / video skills and knowledge of Photoshop and/or other photo/video editing programs a plus.

Hebrew Communications Intern

  • Remote/Online internship
  • Ongoing
  • Time: 8+ hours per week.

Internship description:

  • Create and maintain Israel-Asia Center social media channels in Hebrew
  • Develop a database of and manage communications with Hebrew media editors and journalists
  • Write press releases in Hebrew
  • Generate weekly media reports
  • Translate and update content and articles in Hebrew for the Israel-Asia Center website and other promotional materials

Requirements:

  • Native-level Hebrew
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent media-level Hebrew writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of, experience and interest in Asia a major plus

Web Programmer/Designer Intern

  • Remote/online position
  • Project basis

Internship description:

  • Program and design new sections of the Israel-Asia Center website.
  • Create a networking portal within the Israel-Asia Center website for alumni of the Israel-Asia Center’s leadership programs.
  • Create digital promotional materials, such as program booklets.

Internship requirements:

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Significant experience in website management – specifically with WordPress.
  • Experience with graphic design software.
  • Media-savvy and creative with a good eye for design.
  • Experience in graphic design a plus.

 

Through these positions, interns will also have the opportunity to network with established and future leaders in business, government, diplomacy, innovation and media who are shaping Israel-Asia relations.
