Chun Yi (Elaine) Chen

As the third generation in a Taiwanese entrepreneurial family, Elaine has worked in marketing, sales and product development departments to gain a holistic view on the business operations while working for the mother company – Billion Electric Co. (TAIEX: 3027). She managed up to 20 enterprise clients across Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mongolia, the Philippines, and India and developed business through participating in Telcos/ISP tenders, B2B technical projects, and software solution and networking product sales.

With a passion for technology, renewable energy, and blockchain, Elaine co-founded BillionWatts Technologies, a subsidiary under Billion Electric Corp, with a focus on solar PV energy-related products and solutions. BillionWatts Technologies is the primary distributor of the world’s leading Israeli PV inverter, DC optimization, and storage provider – SolarEdge Technologies (NASDAQ: SEDG) in Taiwan, and has been fast-growing, hitting the sales target of USD 5M within one year, along with the securing photovoltaics (PV) inverter sales contract of 55MWp by 2018.

During her time working as a Business Development Manager, Elaine managed a team of 20 people, identifying the company’s structure and revenue stream, and reporting the profit and loss directly to the Board of Directors of Billion Electric.

Elaine Chen graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Communication Studies in 2014. She is currently pursuing her MBA at the Tel Aviv University – Coller School of Management, with a focus on technology venture creation and entrepreneurship.
During her free time, she enjoys fitness, yoga, diving, and traveling.
