Dr. Rahul Dutta

A veterinarian by training and a biologist by choice, Rahul holds a B.V.Sc & A.H in Veterinary Medicine from Assam Agricultural University, an M.V.Sc. in Animal Biotechnology from the National Dairy Research Institute, and a Ph.D. in Biological Science from Technische Universitat Munchen. He is currently a postdoctoral scientist at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the Faculty of Agriculture in Rehovot. He has pursued scientific work and research in Israel, India and Germany.

Rahul is a recipient of the prestigious DAAD fellowship offered by the German Academic Exchange Service where he pursued his Ph.D. from the Technische Universität München. As a researcher, he has published more than 15 research articles in leading international journals.

Before beginning his research in April 2017 in Israel, Rahul was a senior innovation fellow at the National Innovation Foundation in India. There, he was a key member in the organization of the third Festival of Innovation. At the foundation, Rahul was a point person for dealing with international delegates and round tables. He also performed research about veterinary medicinal products as a preliminary step for patent filing.

An avid blogger, Rahul enjoys writing articles about the latest developments in the high-tech world and their impact on society. He also is a regular reviewer for scientific peer review journals published by Elsevier and MDPI.  He is proficient in Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali and intermediate level German.
