Fred Chaouat
Israel
Originally from France, Fred Chaouat immigrated to Tel Aviv six years ago. Fred has acquired significant experience in the world of hi-tech in Israel.
Fred is currently working for Reblaze Technologies, a cybersecurity startup offering a cloud-based web security solution. At Reblaze, Fred is responsible for the sales and business development efforts, building the right mix of partners and strategizing the best go-to-market approach in each of the relevant EMEA and APAC markets. Prior to that, Fred was working as a senior business development manager for various startups where he led sales efforts and penetrated markets in Europe and Southeast Asia, trained new employees on the technology and led teams based in Beijing and Taipei. Fred started his career in Europe at PwC leading projects and teams of up to 20 consultants.
Fred spent one year from 2012 to 2013 in Hyderabad, India on the Leadership and International Fellowship Experience (LIFE). At LIFE, Fred worked as a financial analyst for social entrepreneurs at Intellecap. There, he developed a social impact measurement framework to help investors better assess the impact created by social entrepreneurs.
Before entering the workforce, Fred received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Paris Dauphine University, and spent one year on an exchange at Tel Aviv University. Fred also obtained an M.A. in Management from Paris Dauphine University.
Fred co-founded Bring It Forward, a social venture that empowers newly arrived immigrants to Israel by pairing them with peer mentors. In his free time, he loves to volunteer as a Medic for Magen David Adom, Israel’s National Emergency service and is passionate about improv acting.
Over the course of the fellowship, Fred hopes to accelerate the business relations between Israel and Asia by building further bridges to help Israeli startups penetrate Asian markets.
