Yang Gao
China
Yang Gao serves as Director for International Cooperation at Shengjing Peakview Israel Ltd., building strategic platforms between Israel and China through involvement with start-ups, entrepreneurs, investors and local government. As part of this role, Yang also operates the Israel Liaison Office for Beijing technology hub, Zhongguancun.
Yang recently completed his M.Sc in Industrial Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute for Technology. During this time, Yang, who also holds a B.Sc in Industrial Engineering from the Technion, was elected President of the Technion’s Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA), as well as being assigned a Technion student ambassador, representing the Technion to various universities and high-schools in China and Vietnam between the years 2016-2018. In this role, he also worked as a guide in the Technion’s visitor’s center, where he presented the Technion’s history, achievements and vision to VIP delegations from China (including China’s Minister of Science and Technology, the Party Secretary of Guangdong, and the Vice Mayor of Shenzhen) and around the world.
During his M.Sc., Yang interned at ZGC’s (Zhongguancun Development Group) International Incubator, arranging roadshows for start-ups from around the world, as well as initiating programs for Chinese-Israeli bilateral cooperation in innovation.
Given his engineering background and time spent learning about Israel’s innovation ecosystem, Yang sees his future in the world of VCs and tech related investments, and in strengthening the China-Israel innovation ecosystem.
