NEW CHINESE ACCELERATOR OPENED IN TEL AVIV BY ISRAEL-ASIA LEADERS FELLOW
A new Chinese accelerator has been opened in Tel Aviv by Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship alum, Limin Wang.
The accelerator – DayDayUp – is part of a global chain of Chinese accelerators providing tailor-made programs for companies interested in entering and scaling up in the China market.
Tel Aviv is the fifth location for DayDayUp, which also has accelerators in Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuxi and San Francisco. Key investors include Alibaba Mobile Business Group, Xiaomi, Dianping and Peakview Capital.
“Israel is well-known as the global leader in innovation,” says Limin. “We are dedicated to assisting Israel hi-tech companies to starting-up and scaling-up in China, as well as establishing efficient channels for Chinese companies to access Israeli innovative technologies, particularly in AI and blockchain.”
“Our vision is to create result-oriented deals, to facilitate 100 Israeli projects to localize in China in three years.”
The hub was launched at an opening event in Tel Aviv on August 22, 2018. Speakers included head of Alibaba Israel Machine Vision Lab, Itamar Friedman; Diaping co-founder, Edward Long; managing partner of Peakview Capital – ShengJing Group, Sherry Wang; and start-up entrepreneurs in the Israel-China arena.
Prior to her current role as general manager of DayDayUp in Israel, Limin served as the China Manager at the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute. She was a participant of the Israel-Asia Center’s 2015-16 Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship.
The Israel-Asia Leaders Fellowship is a high-impact 8-month program for students and young professionals focused on building future leaders in Israel-Asia relations.
